Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a three-storey apartment fire on College Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, December 10, 2019.
Smoke was seen coming out of the building as emergency crews arrived on scene just before 1:00 pm.
Residents in the building made it out before firefighters arrived
An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control within about 30 minutes.
One resident was assessed by paramedics on scene and was taken to hospital in stable condition.
A firefighter was also taken to hospital in stable condition after sustaining an injury while battling the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
