Winnipeg Fire crews battled two residential fires in the span of an hour early this morning, July 1, 2019.
Bamoral Street Fire –
Firefighters were called to a vacant one and a half storey house on Balmoral Street just after midnight. As they arrived they saw heavy smoke and flames. An offensive attack was launched and the blaze was brought under control with in about 45 minutes.
This is the second fire at the home in the past year.
No injuries were reported
The fire is under investigation.
Victor Street Fire –
The second fire broke out around 12:50 am on Victor Street.
The fire was well involved when firefighters arrived forcing them to make a defensive attack on the blaze.
It took about two hours to get the fire under control.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
