RCMP have charged two men in connection to the killing of 40-year-old Matthew Swain in August of 2019.
Swain had been assaulted on Highway 16 near the Russell Airport around 12:30 am on August 14th. He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
As the investigation continued police identified suspect in the case and on Monday March 1, 2021 took the two male suspects and an adult female into custody.
34-year-old Robert Fleury was charged for his alleged involvement with Manslaughter and 29-year-old Desmond Tanner was charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder.
The 24-year-old female was released without being charged.
Both accused remain in custody.
