Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) have charged two people in connection to a shooting around 1:00 am on Sunday, August 18, 2019.
Police say that they were called to the scene by emergency medical personnel after a 27-year-old male was found shot in the leg.
Two suspects took off after the shooting but investigators say the pair were known to the victim.
Police were not able to locate the suspects after searching the area but both were captured later that day.
23-year-old Salita Beaulieu and 19-year-old Jamie Desmarais have been charged with Attempted Murder for their alleged involvement.
Both were detained in custody and will appear in court August 26, 2019 in Portage la Prairie.
