Winnipeg police have arrested two people in connection to a Beverley Street shooting early Thursday morning, January 12, 2023.

A male in his 20s was found outside a residence in the 400 block suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.

Investigators say they believe the male was shot inside the residence. Officers executed a search warrant and seized a gun that they believe was used in the shooting.

A 22-year-old female and a 20-year-old male were arrested and charged with a number of offences for their alleged involvement including Robbery, Aggravated Assault and weapons charges.

Both of the accused remain in custody and have not been named as the investigation is still ongoing.

Police say that they believe the 24-year-old victim knew at least one of the suspects prior to the shooting.
