A fatal fire in a rooming house in the 100 block of Austin Street that killed two people in July of 2016 turned out to be the result of arson.
Brenda Campbell, 51, and John McKinnon Bendon, 61, were both killed in a fire set at the residence.

On the first anniversary of the tragic blaze Winnipeg Police have arrested two suspects in the case.
Jonathon Graham BARSTAD, 34 and Edward Wade BEARDY, 35, both from Winnipeg have been charged with Second Degree Murder (x2) and Arson (x2) for their alleged involvement.
Both accused have been detained in custody.
