Manitoba’s police watchdog has recommended charges be laid against two Brandon Police Service officers after an incident in September of 2016.
After a lengthy investigation the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) has concluded there are reasonable grounds to believe provincial Highway Traffic Act (HTA) offences occurred involving two members of the Brandon Police Service.

As a result of the investigation, one officer has been charged with driving carelessly, pursuant to s.188(2) of the HTA. The second officer has been charged with driving imprudently, pursuant to s.95(3) of the HTA.
Both officers will appear in Brandon Provincial Court on April 6.
