Man and woman charged with second degree murder
Homicide investigators in Winnipeg have arrested two people in the murder of 21 year old Shania Chanel Chartrand.
Chartrand was found in the 200 block of Spence Street suffering from gun shot wounds. She was in critical condition when police found her. She was taken to and later died in hospital.

On April 7, 2017 police arrested 22 year old Lacy Sorokowski and 24 year old Christopher Ryan St. Paul. Both have been charged with second degree murder for their alleged involvement in the case. Sorokowski was also charged with possess controlled substance for purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine).
Both accused were detained in custody.
Police continue to investigate.
