A coordinated effort by Selkirk RCMP and the Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of illicit drugs and the arrest of two individuals on Eveline Street in Selkirk
On February 26, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at a residence as part of an ongoing investigation. Inside, they found and arrested two occupants without incident: a 29-year-old Winnipeg man, Justice Langlois, and a 65-year-old Selkirk woman.
The subsequent search of the premises revealed a cache of illegal substances and related paraphernalia, including:
- 8.3 grams of cocaine, with an estimated community value of $850.
- 5.2 grams of methamphetamine, valued at approximately $520.
- 3.3 grams of fentanyl, a highly potent opioid, with an estimated street value of $1,300.
- 280 grams of a suspected cutting agent, used to dilute drugs.
- Cash, bear spray, scales, and packaging materials.
Both Langlois and the 65-year-old female have been charged with three counts of trafficking. Additionally, Langlois faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.
The female suspect was released on conditions, while Justice Langlois remains in custody pending a future court appearance.
