Victim assaulted for extended period of time say police

More information has come to light about the homicide News 4 told you about on Monday. 

Winnipeg Police responded to a man screaming and sounds of a possible assault in the 100 block of Killarney Avenue in FOrt Richmond.

When officers arrived they found a 29-year-old male who was not breathing. He was declared dead at the scene.

Police believe the victim was assaulted for an extended period of time as he had signs of massive blunt force trauma to his body

Investigators have identified the victim as Mustafa Peyawary from Winnipeg.

Police have also arrested two suspects in the case Damir Kulic, 27 from Vancouver and Ahamed Althaaf Ismail, 29 from Edmonton

Both suspects have been charged with First Degree Murder and held in custody.
