Carjacking at gunpoint, two in custody

Two people are in custody after they allegedly carjacked a 27-year-old male near Cumberland Avenue and Furby Street.

Police say that on Monday April 8, 2019, around 3:00 pm, the male victim was driving around a female acquaintance when they stopped to pick up a man.

As the man got into the vehicle he pointed a gun at the victim and told him to get out. The man and female drove off. The victim says he does not know the male suspect.

Patrol officers in the North End spotted the stolen vehicle around 11:40 pm that night in a lane near Main Street. Officers saw the male suspect standing near the vehicle and also saw the female getting out of the vehicle.

Both suspects were arrested.

A search of the suspects uncovered the keys to the vehicle in the female’s possession and Meth and cash on the male.

Jessica Deborah Fontaine, 32 has been charged with armed robbery using a firearm.

Her accomplice Aaron Stewart Mousseau, 38 has been charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Conditions of Recognizance.

Mousseau and Fontaine were detained in custody.
