A 19-year-old male and a 15-year-old female are facing robbery charges after they allegedly knocked over a River Heights convenience store early Monday morning, February 14, 2022.
Police say the pair walked into the store around 3:45 am. The male then racked a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money and other items. The pair then fled on foot.
A police service dog quickly searched the area and found the female suspect. Officers found the discarded handgun, which turned out to be a BB gun, along with several items stolen from the store. The male suspect was also located and taken into custody.
Jordan Kevin Harold McIvor has ben charged for his alleged involvement with Armed Robbery using a Firearm, Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Pointing a Firearm and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.
McIvor was detained in custody,
The female co-accused was charged with robbery for her alleged involvement and released on an undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code of Canada.
