Two adult women and a teen male are facing assault and weapons-related charges after a male in his 20s was stabbed at a beer vendor in the 600 block of Balmoral Street on September 13, 2022.
According to police, officers were called to the vendor around 11:30 pm and located the victim “bleeding profusely”. They immediately provided emergency medical care which included the use of a chest seal. The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
Police say that the victim was attacked outside the vendor by a group of people. A gun was pointed at his head and he was punched, kicked and then stabbed.
Officers initially took four people who were nearby into custody. The officers recovered a pellet gun.
It is believed that the attack was motivated by gang rivalry.
Galena Dianna Eva Flett, 29 was charged for her alleged involvement with:
– Aggravated Assault
– Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
– Possession of a Weapon
– Pointing a Firearm
– Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon
Jennifer Flett, 34 was charged for her alleged involvement with:
– Aggravated Assault
– Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
– Possession of a Weapon
A 16-year-old male was charged for his alleged involvement with:
– Aggravated Assault
– Possession of a Weapon x 2
– Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
All three accused were detained in custody.
