Two additional cases of COVID-19 identified

Manitoba Public Health announced on Thursday, April 30, 2020, that there are two new cases of COVID-19 identified in the province. The total number of cases remains at 275

Currently, there are five people being treated for the virus in the hospital with no intensive care patients

220 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Manitoba with 49 cases remaining active.

The number of deaths related to the virus remains at 6 in Manitoba.

424 tests were performed on Wednesday, April 29th bringing the total number of lab-confirmed and probable tests performed since early February to 24,723

Testing criteria now includes all symptomatic Manitobans. Anyone showing symptoms still needs to be referred for testing by calling Health Links at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257.

Public Health orders restricting staff from working in more than one licensed personal care home (PCH) have been signed and will take effect on May 1.

Even with the lifting of some restrictions effective May 4, 2020, Manitoba Public Health is still advising people to stay at home as much as possible and stay to stay in or close to their home communities. Visits to cottages are not recommended.
