Tuxedo armed robbery suspect arrested and charged

Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a 20-year-old male who was wanted for an armed robbery in the Tuxedo neighbourhood in May of 2021.

Police say that Gordon Eaglebear Lucus allegedly was part of a group of male who robbed four youth outside a community centre. During the robbery one of the suspects gestured to a gun tucked in the waistband of his pants. Another male brandished what was described as peppy spray.

None of the victims were physically hurt during the incident.

A warrant for arrest was issued against Lucus and police warned that he was considered armed and dangerous.

On August 3, 2021, Lucas was taken into custody by officers in the 200 block of Edgeland Boulevard on two outstanding warrants.

He has been charged for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery with two counts of robbery, Possession of a Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
