Traffic on the Perimeter Highway at Brady road was at a standstill after a delivery truck and a semi slammed into each other.

The delivery truck was carrying chemical weed control which prompted fire officials to bring in their haz-mat team.

The collision happened around 8:00 am Thursday June 1, 2017.

Traffic backed up for several kilometres in both directions and was rerouted along a service road that runs along the highway.

Just after 1:00 pm emergency crews cleared the scene and traffic began to get back to normal.

The was no report on any injures related to the crash.
