Winnipeg Police closed Osborne Street Friday morning after a city transit bus and a car were involved in a serious collision.
It happened around 1:40 am on Osborne Street between Brandon and Carlaw Avenues.
At the time of the collision, the bus was empty and the driver was not injured. The driver of the car, however, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in critical condition by paramedics.
Police will be rerouting Osborne rush hour traffic: S/B at Confusion Corner & N/B at Jubilee. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.

Traffic lined up during the morning rush hour causing significant delays as motorists had to use alternate routes to get into the downtown area.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time but officers from the traffic division are continuing to investigate.
