On Thursday, August 10, 2023, three cars of a CP Rail freight train left the tracks under the Daly overpass in Brandon.
According to Brandon Police Service one of the cars struck a concrete support on the overpass causing some visible damage. Officials are inspecting the support to determine its structural integrity.
The cars that derailed were not carrying any hazardous good.
The Daly overpass is closed in both directions until an assessment can be completed.
