The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has deployed a team of investigators after a train carrying crude oil derailed in Western Manitoba Saturday morning, February 16, 2019.
The Canadian National (CN) freight train was travelling near St. Lazare about 300 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg when 37 cars derailed around 3:30 am. According to CN some of the cars are leaking but crews are on site and cleanup efforts have begun.
It is not know at this time how much oil has leaked
