One of Canada’s largest railways is in the midst of cleaning up after 23 cars derailed from a train east of Elma Manitoba.
It happened on Saturday, January 6, 2018, on the Canadian National Railway line about 140 kilometres east of Winnipeg.

According to CN spokesperson Kate Fenske, there are no leaks detected of dangerous goods from any of the tank cars involved. She said no one was injured in the incident and there is not a threat to the public.

The Transportation Safety Board is an independent agency of the federal government that investigates accidents occurring in with Railways, aviation, marine and pipelines in Canada.
