In the early hours of Monday, a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Notre Dame Avenue and McPhillips Street resulted in the tragic death of a 32-year-old female pedestrian.
At approximately 12:10 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the incident, where members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service transported the injured pedestrian to the hospital in unstable condition. Despite their efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers. The Traffic Division’s Collision Investigation Section has taken over the investigation.
