A 17-year-old girl is dead after her car rolled over in Headingley Saturday morning.
It happened around Gaol Road at about 4:45am. RCMP say the driver was travelling on the Trans-Canada Highway when it appears her vehicle hit the ditch and she was thrown from the vehicle. Police say she was pronounced dead on the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash but it appears the driver was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.
A second accident on Saturday, this time near Ste. Anne sent an Ontario man to hospital after the vehicle he was in rolled over and crash into a ditch just west of Highway 12 on the Trans-Canada Highway.
RCMP say a 29 year old man was taken to hospital in serious condition. It is believed that alcohol played a factor in the crash.
On Sunday afternoon around 4:00 pm a pedestrian was hit by a semi truck just east of Portage la Prairie.
The 31 year old pedestrian from Winnipeg was walking along the eastbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway when he was hit. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed a section for the highway for several hours as they investigated the accident.
