Failing to signal leads to weapons arrest

Failing to signal was was the start of a bad day for three people early Monday morning, December 17, 2018.

Police stopped a vehicle travelling on Maryland Street near Portage Avenue after it failed to signal a turn. As officers approached the vehicle they noticed the barrel of a ZIP gun next to the centre console near the front passenger. In the rear of the vehicle, they saw a sword.

Two men and a woman were taken into custody.

Police learned that the driver had a suspended licence. Officers also found 5.3 grams of Meth and $265 in cash on one of the males.

Katherine Lee Marie Plesier, 34, Joseph Daniel Degrace,51 and Jeremy Andrew Wales, 28 all face a number of charges for weapons and other offences for their alleged involvement.

All three were detained in custody.
