Three people are facing weapons charges after patrol officers conducted a traffic stop near Arlington Street and Selkirk Avenue late Monday night.
As officers approached the SUV they noticed a large hunting knife in plain view in the rear of the vehicle. The occupants, a female and two males, were arrested and a search of the vehicle found a loaded sawed-off shotgun, a large amount of ammunition, brass knuckles and a prohibited folding knife.
A 35-year-old male, a 26-year-old male and a 29-year-old female are have been charged with multiple firearm and weapons-related offences. The 35-year-old is also facing six counts of failing to Comply with Probation.
Both men were detained in custody. The female was released on a promise to appear in court.
