Karma came into play after truck speeds past RCMP traffic stop

The 55-year-old driver of a pickup truck is in hot water after he sped past police who had another vehicle pulled over on Highway 10 south of Flin Flon.

Police say that on September 29, 2019 officers were conducting an investigation with their emergency lights activated when the driver of the pickup failed to slow down and move over passing the police vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The officers went back to their vehicle and gave chase. They initiated a traffic stop.

A subsequent investigation led officers to obtain search warrants for the suspect vehicle as well as homes in Schist Lake and Flin Flon.

During the searches officers found 27 grams of cocaine, 6 grams of psilocybin, 1 gram of crack, 10 rifles, ammunition, various other weapons and a large sum of cash..

Paul McIntyre from Schist Lake has been charged for his alleged involvement with:

  •  Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  •  Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x 2
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking x 4
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

The passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old Margaret Chisolm from Flin Flon is facing Trafficking charges for her alleged involvement.

The driver was also given a number of tickets under the Highway Traffic Act.

Police continue to investigate
