Brandon traffic stop leads to drug trafficking arrest

Brandon Police have arrested and charged a 28-year-old female for dug trafficking after a traffic stop on Princess Avenue Thursday evening, August 22, 2019.

Police say that during the stop police found the woman was in possession of Meth, Cocaine and Psilocybin (mushrooms) worth about $1,000 on the street along with a quantity of cash.

Police then executed a search warrant on the female’s home where officers found a sawed off 20 gauge shotgun and ammunition along with other drug trafficking materials.

Charges included possession for the purpose of trafficking meth, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking psilocybin, possess prohibited firearm with ammunition, and possession of property obtained by crime.

She was detained in custody pending a court appearance.
