Police investigating after a Toronto Street woman shot at home.

Officers were called to the residence around 5:30 pm and found the woman suffering from a lower-body gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.

Members of the Tactical Support Team, General Patrol and the K-9 Unit searched the area for three suspects who had fled the scene on foot.

Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit learned that the suspects had forced their way into the victim’s residence. One of the suspects produced and fired what police believe was a firearm, striking the victim.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
