Multiple funnel clouds were captured on camera Monday evening as severe storms tracked through Westman. Waywayseecappo First Nation, near Russell, reported a tornado that destroyed at least one home.
Several people in the community have been displaced because of damage caused by the storm.
The Canadian Red Cross is helping members of the community with places to stay and food.
The same storm system is expected to track east through the City of Winnipeg. Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch for the City and area.
