Enforcement of COVID-19 restrictions continue with a dramatic drop in the number of fines issued between August 2 and August 8, 2021.
Officials say that in the past week 27 people were given warnings and three tickets were issued for breaching COVID-19 restrictions.
Zero $1,296 tickets were issued last week but two people were fined $298 for failing to wear a mask in an indoor place. One business was ticked $5,000 for breaching orders. The loosened restrictions did not come into effect until August 7.
The province says that enforcement efforts will continue.
