Three teens facing assault, firearm and drug charges

Winnipeg Police Service has arrested three teens after a female caller reported to 911 that she had been assaulted and threatened by three males.

According to police the incident took place around 4:25 am on Monday, January 25, 2021, at a home in the 200 block of Doncaster Boulevard. The victim indicated to the emergency operator that the males were armed with firearms and had left the area in a taxi.

The taxi was located nearby and the teens were taken into custody. Officers seized a number of items including:

  • a loaded Ruger rifle and ammunition
  • a loaded sawed-off shotgun and ammunition
  • hunting knife
  • handcuffs
  • dime bags of cocaine and Xanax pills

An 18-year-old male along with a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old male were charged for their alleged involvement with assault, firearms and drug-related offences, All three were detained in custody.
