Police are investigating several separate stabbing incidents that happened Thursday night January 18, 2018.

Furby Street Stabbing

Just before 6:00 pm officers were called to the 400 block of Furby Street after a report came in of an injured female.

The woman had been stabbed in the lower body. Paramedics took her to hospital in critical condition.

Police also found a second female suffering from stab wounds. She was treated and released.

Balmoral Street Stabbing

A few hours later, around 8:20 pm, a 26-year-old woman was stabbed in the upper body at a business in the 500 block of Balmoral Street. Tactical Support Team members responded. The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has been upgraded to stable.

Second Furby Street Stabbing

Around the same time as the second incident officers were also responding to a report of an injured male in the 500 block of Furby Street. A 25-year-old male was found suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. He was taken to hospital in critical condition but has been upgraded to stable condition.

As officers were investigating the third incident it came to light that an argument had taken place between the male victim and a male suspect. The victim was chased down by the suspect and stabbed.

Air-1 and Tactical Support Team members searched the area and located the suspect. He was arrested after what was described as a short foot pursuit.

Robert Elliot Sutherland, 21 from Winnipeg has been charged in the stabbing of the male for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault and Fail to Comply with Conditions of Recognizance X2.

He has been detained in custody.

Police are continuing to investigate all three incidents.
