A collision on Highway 8 and highway 230 sent three people to hospital just after 3:30 pm July 1, 2017

RCMP say that a 79 year old woman from Powerview was driving westbound when she didn’t stop at a stop sign and hit a vehicle that was travelling north on Highway 8.

The northbound vehicle crossed the median and ended up in the southbound lanes of Highway 8. The 22 year old female driver and her 23 year old male passenger, both from Winnipeg, were taken to hospital in stable condition. 

The 79 year old woman was also taken to hospital in stable condition. She now faces charges in relation to the crash.

Police report all three people remain in hospital in stable condition.
