A-17-year-old male is facing a number of charges after a group of people were assaulted on Sunday evening, July 24, 2022, at the Forks.

Police say that a 12-year-old male, 15-year-old female and an 18-year-old female were approached by an unknown group and assaulted with bear spray. All three were taken to hospital, treated and released.

Officers were able to capture one of the three assailants after a short foot pursuit. Police say they believer the attack was unprovoked.

The accused male has been charged for his alleged involvement with three counts of Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon and two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

He was detained in custody.

Police are looking for two other suspects involved in the attack.
