Replica handgun causes angst at hockey tournament
Police were called to the Dakota Community Centre Sunday evening after a spectator was seen with a handgun.
It happened February 12, 2017 just after 5:45pm. Three adult males entered the Community Centre and began to fight with three other males. Staff and security at the centre got involved and attempted to separate the fighting men.
During the intervention one of the accused was seen with a handgun. Security was able to detain the suspects until officers arrived.
The officers quickly determined that the weapon was in fact a replica handgun that shot pellets.
The men that were attacked, staff nor security were injured.
Ryan Matthew BOULANGER, 28 from Bloodvein, Manitoba was charged with: Assault x 3, Possess Weapon, Fail to Comply Recognizance x 2, and Warrant of Arrest x 3
Jeremy PELTIER, 29 from Winnipeg, Manitoba was charged with: Assault x 3, Possess Weapon, Fail to Comply Undertaking
Nathan SCOTT, 23 was charged with: Assault x 3, Fail to Comply Probation Order
All three accused were detained in custody.
