Three lives taken in single-vehicle rollover

RCMP are investigating a fatal single-vehicle rollover that claimed the lives of three people and injured two others.

Police say that around 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2021, the rollover occurred on Provincial Road 280 between Thompson and Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation).

When officers arrived they located a 40-year-old male who had been ejected from the vehicle and was deceased. Four others were still inside the vehicle. A 21-year-old female suffered significant injuries and was taken to a Winnipeg hospital. A 44-year-old female in the back seat was found deceased and a 42-year-old male in the back seat had minor injuries. The 30-year-old male driver suffered serious injuries and died as he was being treated.

Police say everyone involved in the collision are from Tataskweyak Cree Nation.

RCMP continue to investigate.
