RCMP shut down Highway 1 in both directions between Brandon and Virden on Thursday, February 24, 2022, after a Multi-vehicle collision.
Police say that approximately 20 semi-trucks and five passenger vehicles were involved in the crash. The collision happened just before midday. Road conditions were icy at the time of the collision.
Three people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but their conditions are not known at this time.
Police say that the highway will be closed for some time while they investigate. Detours are in place.
RCMP are asking people to avoid the area.
