Winnipeg Police Service Tactical Support Team were involved in a standoff on Friday night, January 28, 2022.
Officers had surrounded a two-storey house on Charles Street just north of Selkirk Avenue at about 9:00 pm and called for the occupants to exit the building. They did not comply.
Over the next few hours police attempted to communicate with those inside without any luck.
At approximately 11:45 pm police fired what appeared to be tear gas into the home and minutes later were seen escorting three people in handcuffs to a waiting police vehicle.
More information as it becomes available.
