Three in custody after a Celina Cove home invasion

Winnipeg Police have three suspects in custody after receiving a report of a home invasion.

Police say that just before midnight officers responded to Celina Cove.

AIR-1 spotted three people running through nearby yards and attempting to hide. All three were soon taken into custody.

According to police the residents had been bound with tape after the suspects forced their way into the home. A 17-year-old male and a 20-year-old female were assaulted inside the residence.

Investigators say that the residence had a legal licence to grow cannabis. The home invaders stole a number of items including a large quantity of marijuana.

Jason Dean Bercier, 41 faces a number of charges for his alleged involvement including Break Enter & Commit Robbery – Dwelling House, Forcible Confinement, Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.

A second male, 47 and a 28-year-old female are facing charges for their alleged involvement of Break Enter & Commit Robbery – Dwelling House.
