Police investigating three weekend homicides

Winnipeg Police are investigating three weekend homicides in two different incidents.

Police say that they responded to the report of a stabbing at a home on Kinver Avenue in Tyndall Park around 10:45 pm Saturday, October 26, 2019.

When officers arrived they found an 18-year-old female and a 14-year-old female suffering from critical injuries. They were taken to hospital by paramedics but the 14-year-old died soon afterwards. The 18-year-old is now in stable condition and remains in hospital.

The second incident happened early Sunday morning, October 27. 2019.

Police say that they responded to a medical call after two men were reported injured in the rear lane of Ross Avenue near Isabel Street.

When officers arrived they found both males were suffering from serious upper-body injuries. Both victims were taken to hospital in critical condition but died shortly after arrival.

These deaths bring the total of homicides this year to 36.

Anyone with information on either of these incidents are asked to call police.
