Three firefighters were injured while battling a blaze in a vacant Point Douglas house early Sunday morning, August 27, 2023.
As crews arrived at the Austin Street North house just after 12:45 am, they saw smoke and flames coming from the structure. An interior attack was launched with the fire being declared under control at 2:49 am.
Paramedics treated three firefighters for minor injures with two of them needing to be transported to hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
