Three facing firearms and drug offences during trafficking investigation

Police seize weapons and drugs after learning that traffickers were distributing drugs and firearms from a William Whyte area home.

Police began the investigation on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Just after midnight on Sunday, November 21, they stopped a vehicle leaving the residence and arrested three adults. Officers also seized methamphetamine, several firearms and numerous rounds of ammunition.

30-year-old Michael John Desmarais has been charged for his alleged involvement with 25 offences related to drugs and firearms.

34-year-old Stephanie Nathaly Lopez has been charged for her alleged involvement with 12 firearms and drug offences.

Both of the accused were detained in custody.

A 25-year-old female was charged for her alleged involvement with 13 firearm and drug offences and was released on an Undertaking.
