Winnipeg Police have charged three men in connection to the killing of 29-year-old Enrique George Courchene on September 24, 2022.
Courchene was at a beer vendor that fronted on the 200 block of Dorothy Street when he was confronted by three men that were unknown to him. A fight took place and Courchene was stabbed and critically injured.
When police arrived on the scene they began emergency first aid including CPR until paramedics arrived. Courchene was taken to hospital in critical condition but did not survive his injuries.
Investigators identified three suspects in the case and took them into custody between September 28 and October 11, 2022.
26-year-old Jade Allen Dumas, 26-year-old Calvin Harvey Maytwayashing and 36-year-old Cecil Vance Roulette have all been charged for their alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder.
All three were detained in custody.
Police say that no other arrests are expected in the case.
