Three captured after armed robbery in Pine River

RCMP have three suspects in custody after they robber a store in Pine River on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

Police say that two males wearing masks entered the business armed with a rifle. The pair demanded money, cigarettes and liquor before fleeing on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV). A description of the vehicle was relayed to responding officers and road blocks were set up in the area.

The ATV was spotted near Camperville on Highway 20 and Highway 272. As officers attempted a traffic stop the ATV fled into a field. RCMP Police Dog Services were called in and the three suspects were found hiding.

33-year-old James Flatfoot from Dauphin has been charged for his alleged involvement with Robbery with a Firearm, Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence, Flight from Peace Officer, Weapons Possession Contrary to Order, Possession of a Firearm when Unauthorized, Operation While Prohibited, Fail to Comply x3.

A 16-year-old male from Pine Creek First Nation has been charged for his alleged involvement with Robbery with a Firearm, Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence, Weapons Possession Contrary to Order, Possession of a Firearm when Unauthorized, Fail to Comply x2

Police have also charged a 20-year-old male from Pine Creek First Nation for his alleged involvement with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

RCMP continue to investigate.
