Three busted in drug raid on home in the Maples

Winnipeg Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Leahcrest Crescent in the Maples on Friday afternoon, October 13, 2017.

Winnipeg’s Street Crime Unit obtained the warrant after an investigation into a number of  West End homes used to distribute illegal drugs.

Police seized drugs, a large amount of cash and an assortment of ammunition.

One man and two women were arrested and charged with a number of drug-related offences for their alleged involvement.

The male was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marijuana, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Weapons Prohibition (x2).

He was detained in custody.

One of the females was charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine.
She was released on an appearance notice.

The other female was charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000, Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marijuana.

She has been detained in custody.
