RCMP says that around 8:10 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021, three people entered a home on Highway 11 and robbed the homeowner at gunpoint. The suspects stole cash and electronics before fleeing in a black car.
Responding officers located the vehicle in the area but the driver tried to evade police and fled. The driver took off on foot after pulling into a driveway. Two other suspects were pulled from the car by officers.
Later in the day the driver of the vehicle was captured by police.
Brennan Beaulieu, 18 and Felicity Smith, 27 both from Sagkeeng First Nation and the driver of the vehicle, Christopher Courchene, 37, were charged with Robbery with a Firearm and related offences for their alleged involvement.
All three suspects were detained in custody
