Two teen males and a male adult have been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting of a 13-year-old male in Moose Lake, Manitoba.
Police say that around 8:45 pm on November 2, 2021, they were called to Portage Road in the community for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived on the scene they located the victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The teen was taken to the nursing station then transferred to hospital.
RCMP identified a suspect vehicle and set up a roadblock on Highway 38A. The suspect vehicle was stopped at the roadblock and six people were taken into custody.
A 15-year-old male was charged on an outstanding warrant for Failing to Comply with Release Order x2 and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order x2.
A 13-year-old male was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant for Robbery and Failing to Comply with a Release Order x 3.
Both teens could also face additional charges related to the shooting depending on the outcome of the investigation say police.
28-year-old Delaney Patchenose has been charged for his alleged involvement with Discharging a Firearm, Careless Storage of a Firearm and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle.
Police say the other three people taken into custody at the roadblock were released without charges.
