Manitoba Hydro crews were busy over night restoring power to more than 3000 customers after 3 different incidents turned out the lights.

Hydro say that a pole fire was responsible for several hundred customers being in the dark in south River Heights just after midnight on Wednesday March 27, 2019.

Almost at the same time customers in Transcona lost power due to a downed power line.

Just after 3:00 am thousands more were affected in Wolseley and River Heights when a transmission line failed.

Police were directing traffic during the morning rush hour on major routes like Kenaston Boulevard as power to traffic signals had yet to be restored.

The majority of customers had their power restored by mid morning.
