RCMP in Thompson says that a sudden death originally believed to be a possible homicide has turned out not to be.
On April 26, 2020, a 28-year-old male passed away suddenly in Thompson. Police said at the time that they believed the death was related to an incident that took place at a house party the day before.
An autopsy was ordered and police continued to investigate the incident as a homicide.
On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, police say that their investigation has concluded and that the male died as a result of injuries sustained from a fall following a minor altercation.
RCMP say that there is “no criminal culpability in this matter and as a result, no criminal charges can be laid.”
