RCMP in Thompson raided three residences in a search for illegal drugs on Friday, June 1, 2018.
Police executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at a home on Beaver Crescent and at two apartments on Carlton Place.
Officers seized drugs, large sums of cash, drug paraphernalia as well as a “bag of weapons” that included brass knuckles, a baton, a taser and knives.
Five people were arrested and face Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance and other Criminal Code charges.
A 31-year-old male was detained in custody while the other four accused were released and will appear in court on July 13, 2018.
RCMP continue to investigate.
