The RCMP in Portage la Prairie have brought in more officers to patrol the city after three shooting incidents happened in the past week.
On Saturday, December 2, 2017, three people were injured on Royal Road North after shots were fired. Two men have been arrested with one facing attempted murder and the other facing aggravated assault charges.

Then three days later on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, a 26-year-old male was shot outside a home on Poplar Bay. The 20-year-old suspect in that incident has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

On Thursday, December 7, 2017, shots rang out again this time on Oak Bay in Portage la Prairie around 4:30 am. When police arrived they found the home had been hit several times by bullets but luckily no one inside the home was hurt.

In addition to more resources to help patrol, RCMP have also brought in more officers to help investigators
Police are asking anyone with information about the shootings to call them at 204-857-4445.
